Imragruen Fishermen I

$125.00 USD

At the fringe of the Atlantic coast where the Sahara meets the ocean lies Banc d’Arquin National Park. It is a World Heritage Site filled with small islands and shallow coastal waters that attract up to 2 million migrant birds from Northern Europe, Siberia and Greenland making it the most important breeding area for birds on the Atlantic seaboard. It’s unique geographic location also makes it the richest fishery on the west African coast. The local Imragruen fishermen that live within the park harvest the migratory fish populations using traditional sail boats like the one seen here using techniques unchanged since the 15th century.

All prints are printed on archival paper using archival ink to maximize the quality of the digital prints to meet museum longevity requirements.

Prices do not include matting and framing. Framing is not available at this time but will be added soon.
